Here it is, my first post of 2016. Oh the pressure…! I thought it would be interesting to write something about our expectations for the blog and our life in the new year, not because I am a fan of new year’s resolutions, but to measure up what the future holds for this blog and its writers. What I do like, is to look back and set new personal goals.
My dear Lucia has already written her piece, and here I am panicking about what to write for mine…
I’ll be honest: the past year has been weird for me on a personal level and I can comfortably admit that I’m glad it’s over. However, I did gain some precious things from it: lovely new friendships and my being part of this great project, the Vintage Berlin Guide.
I value my friends very much and as for the VBG, I’ve been pouring a lot of love over it.
Here I can combine my passion for my city Berlin, its past and present, my love of vintage, my photography (at least I feel my Bachelor was useful) and my need to share interesting things and facts I come across.
Thanks to the VBG I also started being a tour guide and I find it extremely rewarding, especially for the kind of tour that we do: individual, unique and off the beaten track, like the type of traveling I like to do (although I do like to indulge in a luxurious spa break every now and then).
So what can you expect from the Vintage Berlin Guide in 2016? More content of course, objective reviews, some guest bloggers, new collaborations, maybe even an event or two…the sky is the limit!
We look forward to exciting times ahead, expanding wider into the world and reaching as many Berlin lovers as possible!
By the way, we are looking for:
- Interesting vintage homes in Berlin to photograph (we are NOT Architectural Digest, so don’t worry if your home is not perfect, we like homes with souls!). Here is an example of a recent home visit we made.
- Vintage people living in Berlin to interview and take a couple of portraits of. In the meantime you can read here one of our latest interviews.
